Transform a cherished photograph into a custom laser-engraved wooden portrait with the realistic appearance of a three-dimensional wood carving.
Whether you’re preserving a vintage family photograph, celebrating a loved one, honoring military or law enforcement service, or creating a meaningful gift, every portrait is individually designed and carefully finished.
Each piece is created using detailed laser engraving, followed by my signature hand-finishing process, including cleaning, sanding, artistic retouching, and a protective finish selected for the artwork.
What’s Included — Starting at $70
- $25 Custom Design & Image Preparation: Photograph enhancement, restoration as needed, artistic preparation, and design of the carved-wood illusion.
- $45 Laser-Engraved Wood Portrait: One approximately 6 × 7-inch natural wood portrait, complete with hand-finishing.
- Two design revisions: Up to two rounds of reasonable adjustments to the digital preview before engraving.
- Personalization: Name, year, or a short inscription engraved on the back.
- Artist’s signature: My permanent FineArtBlooms logo engraved on each piece.
Additional Design Work
The starting price applies to a portrait featuring one person and a photograph requiring standard image preparation.
More complex photographs, group portraits featuring multiple people, heavily damaged photographs, or extensive reconstruction may require an additional design fee.
Any additional charges will be discussed and approved before work begins.
Two revisions are included. Additional revision requests beyond the first two will incur an extra charge, quoted before the work is performed.
Digital Images
A watermarked digital preview is provided for design approval.
A high-resolution, watermark-free digital image is available for an additional fee after the completed engraving has been paid for.
Digital files are supplied for personal use, including family sharing and personal printing. Commercial reproduction or resale rights are not included.
How to Order
- Submit your photograph and any personalization requests.
- I’ll review your image and confirm the final price before beginning design work.
- You’ll receive a watermarked digital preview for approval, with up to two included revisions.
- Once the design is approved, I’ll engrave and hand-finish your portrait.
- Your finished artwork will be prepared for pickup or shipping.
Important Details
Each portrait is made to order. Natural variations in wood grain, color, and engraving tone make every piece unique.
The dimensional appearance is created through artistic shading and laser engraving on a flat wood surface, rather than physical sculptural carving.
